FAQ
What is a storage inverter?
The storage inverter is an intelligent power conversion device that integrates photovoltaic inversion, battery charge and discharge management, and grid-connected/off-grid switching. It can convert direct current generated by solar panels into alternating current for load use or feed into the grid, as well as convert grid AC power into DC to store in batteries. The device intelligently manages power flow among the four components—solar panels, battery, grid, and loads—to maximize self-consumption of solar power. In the event of a grid outage, it automatically switches to off-grid mode, ensuring continuous power supply to critical loads.
Can the storage inverter only be equipped with photovoltaic components and not with batteries? Can batteries be added later?
Sure. Our storage inverter supports battery-free operation. When no batteries are connected, the photovoltaic power generation can normally supply power to the load or be sent to the grid, and the equipment will not be damaged. Users can add batteries at any time according to their needs in the future, which is very flexible.
What should be noted during the installation process?
- Choose to install the load-bearing walls. The installation height is recommended to be at the same level as the line of sight, which is convenient for operation and observation.
- Ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation. The installation location should be cool and dry, and avoid direct sunlight (otherwise, high temperatures may lead to a reduction in performance).
- Before installing the wiring, make sure that the power supply on the photovoltaic side, the battery side and the grid side are all completely disconnected.
- AC and DC cables must be clearly distinguished to ensure correct polarity. The positive and negative terminals of the battery must not be connected in reverse.
- Electrical installations must comply with local regulations. It is recommended that they be operated by certified electricians.
What could be the reason for the screen not turning on and the device not being able to boot after installation?
- Check whether the battery circuit breaker is closed, or whether the battery voltage is too low (lower than the startup voltage of the equipment)?
- Has the voltage of the solar panels string not reached the minimum startup voltage of the equipment?
- Is the auxiliary power grid properly connected and is the mains switch closed?
How to set different working modes?
You can make local settings through the built-in touch screen/LCD screen of the device, or make remote modifications via the mobile APP. For the specific parameter paths, please refer to the "Work Mode Settings" section in the user manual.
What types of batteries are supported by the energy storage inverter?
The storage inverter is compatible with both lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries. For lithium batteries, it supports the RS485 communication protocol to enable information exchange with the battery BMS (such as battery capacity, voltage, temperature, charging and discharging protection, etc.).
The noise from the equipment suddenly increased. Is this normal?
The inverter is equipped with intelligent temperature-controlled fan for heat dissipation. When the power generated by solar panels or the charging and discharging power increase, the fan will operate at full speed, which is a normal phenomenon. However, if abnormal knocking sounds or sharp friction sounds occur, it may be that the fan is blocked by foreign objects or the bearings are damaged. In such cases, please immediately stop the machine for inspection or contact the after-sales service.
