Application Aspect

Q1

【Green energy】Why Can the MPPT Controller Only Set a Voltage Range of 9-17V?

Ans

The controller can manually set the battery voltage or select Auto to automatically recognize the battery. The charging curve is set based on the 12V battery, and the set values are the values of the 12V battery. For 24V/36V/48V batteries, the corresponding multiples are automatically applied.
Example: If the battery charging voltage is set to 14.4V, then the 12V battery is 14.4V, the 24V battery is 28.8V, the 36V battery is 43.2V, and the 48V battery is 57.6V

Q2

【Green energy】Why Is There No Voltage or Current Displayed When Using MPPT Controller Without Charging?

Ans

There may be several reasons why voltage and current are not displayed
1. The photovoltaic module is reverse connected, and the controller has reverse protection. If the voltage exceeds the withstand voltage value, it may cause the anti reverse connection tube to break down. Please disconnect the photovoltaic panel and use a voltmeter to confirm the polarity before reconnecting.
2. The solar panel is obstructed. Please pay attention to the installation position of the photovoltaic module to avoid obstruction by trees or buildings.
3. The wiring is not properly connected. Confirm that the connection screws are tightened and check if the terminal connectors have pinched the wires.
4. There is an open or short circuit at the end of the photovoltaic module. Use a multimeter to check for continuity. The TVS diode or reverse connection MOSFET may have been damaged, causing no voltage on both sides of the controller.

Q3

【Green energy】Why Is There Only Voltage but No Current Displayed When Using an MPPT Controller Without Charging?

Ans

There may be several reasons for having voltage but no current:
1. The voltage of the photovoltaic panel is lower than the battery voltage. Please measure the voltage of the photovoltaic panel and the battery with a multimeter. The voltage of the photovoltaic panel must be 5V higher than the battery voltage.
2. The charging parameter settings are incorrect. Please confirm whether the selected battery type matches the actual battery type being used, and whether the charging voltage setting is too low, resulting in non-charging.
3. The battery is already fully charged. As the battery nears full charge, the current decreases, and the controller will stop charging when full.
4. The controller or battery is overheated. Check the ambient temperature and ensure proper heat dissipation and ventilation for the controller installation environment. After thermal protection, charging will resume once the temperature drops.

Q4

【Green energy】Is There No Output Voltage at the MPPT Controller's Load End?

Ans

The load end can output DC voltage for use by DC loads. It supports multiple control modes (ON, Light Control, Time Control, Manual, and Debug). Please check whether the load mode is set correctly and if the load switch is turned on.

Q5

【Energy storage】How to Determine the Current Status of the Portable Power Product?

Ans

The LED display on this product helps you better understand the power status and monitor battery consumption. The INPUT terminal indicates the power level when the product is charging, while the OUTPUT terminal indicates the real-time output power of the device you are inserting. You can estimate the remaining working time by checking the battery percentage on the display.
